Netherlands (2003) installation

In his work Aernout Mik examines group behaviour. He sets up recognizable situations with actors without indicating a real event, time or location. Mik represents the dynamic processes that unfold in such a group without following a storyline. In Parallel Corner we see two different groups of people. Both exude an atmosphere of social unrest and move between innocence and calm on the one hand and violence and uncertainty on the other.
