5 September 2002 World Wide Video Festival moves to the Spring The World Wide Video Festival, an annual international media art festival in Amsterdam, has been permanently rescheduled to take place in spring rather than in autumn. The upcoming 20th edition of the festival will take place from Thursday, 8 May through Sunday, 25 May, 2003. This change has the one-time benefit of a longer preparation period for this jubilee edition that will include a large retrospective exhibition as well as a number of solo exhibitions. A selection of some 20 of the most intriguing installations from previous editions of the festival will be presented again. Besides the exhibitions a large number of activities will unfold during the first few days of the festival: a number of thematic ‘sub-festivals’, a media lounge, performances and presentations, a ‘meet-the-artist’ section and a seminar. Traditionally, many media artists from both the Netherlands and abroad are expected to attend the opening days of the festival. New OfficesThe festival organisation moves into new offices. As of 10 September 2003 our new address will be: World Wide Video FestivalOur telephone and fax numbers, website and e-mail addresses will NOT change.
