That American moon rover was a bit of a disappointment, really. It looked even smaller than the Russian design. By the way, how many guys were there on the Moon? Two, or seven? No, first there were two men and later more followed. And what about this flag they planted there. Did that flutter at all? I didn't notice, really. No, it was made of metal or something like that. Some light material, because one gram costs one thousand dollar.
Has Byelorussia ever participated in space exploration? There was this astronaut from Grodno or some place, but what was his name again? Hey, do you think you could fly through space naked, with just one of those helmets on? Sure. Just like you can fly to the sun without being burned as long as you travel by night.
This is a conversation between four friends, who seem somewhat uncertain about whether to believe all this moon travel business. Does the fact that one of their compatriots apparently was an astronaut make things more credible? After all, they never really met him, he was only on TV. It is even rumoured that the Americans never actually landed on the moon, that it was all a hoax, fabricated with the help of Hollywood. We see their heads in close-up like jerkily animated still photographs against a revolving horizon of dull high-rise apartment buildings. We can't hear their voices, but there are subtitles (in Russian) and 'supertitles' in English so we can learn what is being said in this intriguing conversation that was recorded on 26 July ° 1997. Then again, who is to say that is true?
