Madness ... Sample madnesS no less, is Jeroen Hofs' interpretation of one of the oldest forms of transmission, the art of story telling. Like the computer which forms the basic equipment for his works, he works in a non-linear fashion with sound and image samples that he made himself, creating atmospheres in a total environment amplified by decor. Like the sound, the image will also be in stereo whereby the viewer imagines that he is immersed in the story. By using several mixers and projections, the audience will feel stimulated to move through the space to get another perspective, standing in the middle of a gun battle or a fascinating dialogue. Jeroen Hofs, already internationally renowned in pop circles as Eboman, spans time when a man in samples from 'films from the old school' reacts to 'hardcore Sample madnesS' fragments. The whole thing closes with an energetic jam, Sample madley, where nobody will be able to keep still. The aim is still 'beat'.
