Madonna, eat your heart out! When the diva didn’t yet cherish any maternal feelings, she flirted with S&M in her video clips and let candle wax be dripped onto her breasts in B movies. Child's play in comparison with Maria Beatty's work, "who supports her art through professional S&M", according to her curriculum vitae. Maria continues where Madonna left off. In this black and white expedition on the border between pain and eroticism, Beatty herself undergoes (and clearly with her consent) physical humiliation. Her mistress, Mistress Morgana, is attired in a dress suit - clothing that in one word superbly sums up the phenomenon of gender-bending - and she is armed with stiletto heels. In a steamy half hour, Mistress Morgana makes use of an arsenal of accessories that the owner of the average hardware store would be jealous of: from spurs to nipple clamps, all are turned to mutual pleasure. The piece de résistance is prepared using a burning black candle in the shape of a stiff black prick. This proves highly efficient in providing the shaven noble parts of the female slave with a new protective layer. The black glove will produce both expressions of disgust as well cries of pleasure - as can be expected from S&M.
