A desire for beauty, purity and innocence. A woman's hand claims a man's body. The hand explores the body like a landscape. Slowly the hand pursues a course. The touch is careful and tender, but not without timidity and shame. The delicate images are mixed with restless camera movements sweeping over a foggy landscape while from time to time pictures of grim soldiers almost brutally disturb the serene song 'Te is draga, en is draga' ('You are precious, I am precious') by the Hungarian singer Ferenc Sero. The contrast between the sensuality and the short-lived presence of the nude male body, as well as the escalating chaos of war does not constitute a paradox for Louise Crawford. The artist felt she created something from memory that she did not experience.
