Travelling. What it's like to be travelling; you look at things differently and often, the way you experience things while travelling is different, too. Even the station you set out from, where you have been countless times, looks different when you go on a long journey. 'I Blinked Three Times' is the account of the personal experiences of Seoungho Cho. The video was made as a visual poem about travelling, containing such opposites as beginning and end, manipulation and spontaneity, light and darkness. A succession of images shows a station, trains, people waiting, streets and buildings in an old town, a sandy plain, a bar. They are accompanied by words which are sometimes clearly related to travelling, but sometimes only seem to be a personal observation made by the maker: "walking", "waiting", "respiring", "sentinelling" etc. An announcer over the public address system at a station who speaks German and a man on a television screen speaking French contribute to the feeling of being abroad. In this video particular attention has been paid to the details, the usually insignificant details which however catch the eye when you travel. Those are precisely the things you remember afterwards.
