The BEEF, the Basic Eye & Ear Foundation, presents: playing with video. What effects occur with improper use of the material? Have all possibilities really been exhausted? Henrik Brahe and Jan Krogsgard refuse to believe this. Having previously conjured visually relaxing white noise onto the screen in 'TST 12 Dækbilleder' (1992), the Danish duo merrily play around further with all the knobs available. Fast, or particularly slow forward, with repetitive or elliptical results. In the meantime the viewer becomes obsessed by the fragment being put through the video mangle in this production. Is this a Danish variation of the infamous snuff-movies? A true snøff movie? Is somebody actually being tortured here or is the viewer the only one who has a lot to put up with? To be certain, the viewer with have to hang on until the credits.
