Only the birds are still free and with them we experience relative freedom in the zoo. What discoveries does a woman make as she films in the zoo and what does she experience? Does she speak words of wisdom, does she express playful thoughts or is it all totally irrelevant? The letters are white when everything else is black - as a balance to permit differentiation, to create recognition in a medium that can be manipulated. Your eyesight needs to be good if you're looking for your wallet, which is difficult when perspective was removed from your vision during your youth. Film fragments hitchingly stick at shots of animals like a gorilla, a mouse-eating owl and a lioness at play, but at shots of people too: the dark haired Bia in Manhattan in the zoo, a couple in discussion at a table and a group of men by Big Ben. It is half past three, but that too is only half certain.
