Will Delphine and Laurent, once adult, still long to chase after happiness and fun, in an unconventional way? Will they stay fickle, inventive and inquisitive? Or will they stop playing, give up their dreams and demands and behave in an exclusively consumptive manner? Mara Pigeon asked Delphine and Laurent, both sixteen and from a 'good family', to record their feelings and thoughts on the theme 'fun, desires' in text, filmed images and music. She filmed both adolescents in their normal surroundings. Since these youngsters were not used to being asked for their opinions, communication was often difficult and the maker often felt like she was giving them homework. However, matters such as eroticism, advertising, silence, love, loneliness, landscape, nothingness, imagination, colour, death and music are touched upon. As well as the conditioning role of money, particularly pocket money. And that of the school: "there the desire to live differently is broken".
