'Alter Image 2' is an audiovisual magazine focussing on a diverse range of cultural expressions in the fields of architecture, design, visual arts, theatre, dance and music. Common to all the items presented in 'Alter Image 2' is their high quality and intractability. The material presented is not well known and does not originate from the established art world. 'The Shivering Man', a fascinating dance piece about sexual desires, with music by Bruce Gilbert choreographed by Angela Conway and performed by Michael Clark, 'The Happy End' a band persuasively performing a number of workers' songs and folk songs and the remarkable glass furniture and sculpture of Danny Lane are only a selection of the extraordinary offerings. The images gain in intensity because of the inventive staging and editing. The music, amongst others by Test Department, enhances the atmosphere of the presented art.
