A monitor is immersed, screen-side up, in black liquid. The sound creates pressure-waves and so frees the screen from the enveloping darkness, the degree of visibility of the screen being dependent on the sound level. This way, haltingly and from behind a picturesque décor, the viewer gets to see scenes from a trailer for the film 'The killing hour'. The exaggerately enthusiastic voice-over and the rolling together of key moments make sure that he doesn't miss much. By making the picture dependent on the emotional quality of the sound, Servaas seems to intend criticism of fellow videoomakers. They submerge the viewer in a stream of pictures and accompanying sound, giving him the feeling that he's drunk too much. Through the title - a reference to 'Gordon makes us drink', a satirical tape by Gilbert and George - and the form - aesthetic and of ten jokey images - Servaas soltens the sharp edges of his criticism.
