This is an instructive tape, apparently rooted in the most sombre version of existentialism. A possible target audience might be the sort of people who always have a hangover after a party, either from the drink, or from the memory of their own gibberish of the night before. This is for them: a little pick-me-up in the form of a recommendation to change their ways. As if in desperate coquetry, a woman going to a party paints her lips a purplish blue. The festive dish chases all her cobwebs away, all the more because the other guests have discreetly withdrawn. This is merely an interpretation. The maker has deliberately avoided specific visual effects; acted out events are not te be understood as dramatic memories. Although her intention is to couple the images' meaning to the viewer's own cognitive experiences, she aims above all at understanding on the sensory level.
