'Duras Filme' was shot in February 1981 in Trouville, Normandy during the shooting of the film 'Agatha et les Lectures Illimitées' by Marguerite Duras. It is not quite a portrait and not quite a documentary, but a presentation of Marguerite Duras at work. It is a document about the daily life of a production crew as well as an approach of the most significant themes in Duras' work. Jean Mascolo and Jérôme Beaujour want this production to make the little known 'univers durassien' accessible by allowing the creator of this universe to speak for herself. 'Je voudrais donner moins a voir plus a penser et plus è entendre: This is a work about one of the greats of literature and film seen here at work with one of the most special actresses, Bulle Ogier. This programme has been brought out in France by Flammarion 4 with 'Agatha' on one cassette.
