Tuxedomoon comes originally from San Francisco but now commutes between Holland, Belgium, France and Italy. The band is mainly known as a vanguard of the newest music. The infrequent performances are a mixture of music, sound, performance, dance, video and film. Tuxedomoon is a concept influenced by avant-garde, classical and ethnic influences. Bruce Geduldig has been a member of the group for some time and directed this sonata. 'Ghost Sonata' lives up to its name by using various movements in different tempos to tackle one theme: death, ghosts and dreams. Music and images amalgamate in the action, camera work and editing. The performers wear evening dress, as their name suggests. Th. mystical charisma of the Chinese-American singer/performer Winston Tong is matched by the impressive music composed by Blaine Reininger.
