'Slowly Sounding' lets us see and hear blocks of wood, metal objects and glass falling. Changes in tempo, reversals in time, the rhythm of consecutive repeats and the sound are responsible for the aesthetic result, which also has a very happy feel about it. As in a musical work, themes are presented and then subject to variations building up to a thunderous final chord. 'Go Big Capitalism' is a satirical clip pointing the way to the year 1984. Earning money, eating hamburgers, trusting in the wisdom of leaders and the immortality of television. The American Way.
