Shots of space; voices, one of which says it wouldn't mind seeing something apart from stars: something more exciting. The earth is 'discovered'. We see how young people spend their time, through the eyes of an outsider. In a video games-hall, on the disco floor, in front of the television; it is all private theatre. The attention of the voices is attracted by one particular boy and they eventually take him with them. The concluding words: 'You're a star.' 'I'm a star.' Judith Barry is fascinated by video games and at the same time she has links with the history of theatre. During the revival of theatre in the renaissance, the monarch (maecenas) played the role of 'private viewer', midst a uniform mass experiencing a collective fantasy. This form of theatre is transported to contemporary electronics.
