In these tapes Keigo Yamamoto allows himself to be fascinated by movements, gestures and sounds used by people for unconscious communication. In 'Breath No.5' he isolates head and hand movements which form part of the body language of two people. 'Breath No.8' registers rhetorical gestures which are employed to express threat, warning, declamation, direction and indignation. Keigo Yamamoto abstracts these motifs to flat yet colourful positive-negative compositions which demand great concentration from the viewer.
