This is a documentary made to be shown in inner-city areas in increase the awareness of the history of resistance to rent rises and increases in the cost of heating. This tape is used in neighbourhoods where residential construction projects are set up. Holland is going to have to learn to live with the idea that it is rapidly developing into a multi-racial society. Rational discussion with those who tend to adopt a discriminatory attitude is fruitless; tbe non-racist may prove his point, but the prejudices of the other remain. Nevertheless racism and discrimination have to be combatted. Every expression of racism hears the seed of fascism. These concepts form the basis of 'Onder Anderen' (Among Others), an anti-racist tape in which clarity, feeling and form are combined in a collage of enacted scenes, simple animation, documentary and pictures of multi-coloured Dutch people. The latter regard the viewer in the silent expectation that he will not allow himself to be carried away by one of the greatest monsters to threaten our civilisation.
