In 'BBC News' and 'News Resonance' Servaas uses pneumatic equipment controlled by the impulses of a wide variety of sound signals to move objects, people or the camera. In 'Non Directional' he creates graphical effects by combining the slowness of the vidicon camera tube with reflections of sunlight on water. The voice of the poet Michael McClure provides the pneumatic impulse to move microscopic particles in '4 Poems', while in 'Writing' Servaas writes poems on a hard surface, the scratching of his pen pulsating microscopic particles.
