Paradise still exists. It may well be far off in the Pacific Ocean, the odd block of flats and roads have been built, but in essence it remains the same. The gods descend by escalator from their Olympus and swim in a bright blue sea by a golden beach. No clouds hide the sun, no oil slick fouls the beach in this atmospheric picture of the dolce far niente, or the Good Life.
