'Man-made Landscape' uses static shots to show landscape motifs varying from a treetop to a motorway with mountains in the background. The title refers to traces of human intervention which determine parts of the pictures. Sometimes the succession of images indicates a contrast, for instance between green and bare, daylight or artificial light, day or night. The titles in between provide a precise description of the following shot: 'Kumo', 'cloud'. The words 'Iya' (I don't like it) and 'Tou' (to ask, appeal) form an exception. 'Man-made Landscape' provides a meditative series of images reminiscent of Zen-Buddhist landscape paintings.
