Hall, Lord and Procter once worked with Ant Farm, the group that made history by letting a car drive through a wall of burning television sets (Media Burn, 1975). In 'The Amarillo News Tapes' the three video artists visit the local television station in Amarillo (Texas) and query with light humour the way a local news broadcast is made and the kind of subject which is considered significant in it. Fire, tornadoes and the weather report are the most serious news items in this mixture of documentary, current affairs programme and performance.
