The ambitious but subdued story of a young couple from Tokyo who moved to Canada. Their ways drift apart. The woman stayed, but the man returned to Japan. In his narrative style Goldberg borrows from both classic fictional forms and cinema verité. He mixes them with dreams and reminiscences and uses his dramatic line to convey a primarily visual message about traditional Japanese and Western cultures and the specific experiences of men and women.
