In 'Commercial'-Treatment, Dreher and Hámos choose the LP 'Commercial' by The Residents as point of departure for a study of the relationship between picture and sound. The Residents made forty one-minute compositions, music about music. Dreher and Hámos try to do the same visually and consider how far they can go. The result is shown in 'Commercial'. Forty numbers by The Residents are combined with forty visual 'commercials' compiled from material broadcast on television.
