Performance

LPC has developed a electro-percussive light set which includes live mixed video visuals, a specially developed video sampler and light design. The extensive material that was gathered during the shooting of 'LPC International' as well as other material from the LPC archives are the basis for the performance, but all the same the live set is an independent production in its own right. The video images are generated by two systems: the first is an analogue video system using five to six video players and three analogue video mixers. Images are also created by video cameras and an oscilloscope and pre-edited and mixed loops are also fed into the system. The second system is a digital one, based on a video sampler connected to a box with a gate function. When a video sample is triggered, it breaks through the analogue video stream and is seen on one of the screens. The VJ's, together with the musicians and light technicians, create an audio-visual performance that is very 'live' indeed.
