“You can tie me up, but you have to do exactly as I say”. No, this is not erotica. Perhaps it’s a love story. A woman has certain sexual fantasies which she sets against the traditions of her cultural background. She tells historical tales of famous Jewish women who were active in the resistance during the holocaust. About the brave woman who smuggled explosives into the death camp at Auschwitz, about the woman who was largely responsible for the revolt in the Jewish ghetto in Warsaw and about the woman who single-handedly executed Nazi officers. All women who had to pay for their resistance with their lives. Vague, grubby super-8 images show close-ups of a woman’s body being tenderly investigated by a tongue while the woman in question calls old family photos to mind. She wonders who could have survived the holocaust and what her distant relatives now look like. Her desire for shady erotic games with an S&M undertone seem to be part of her assimilation process. Not directly her assimilation process, but that of the survivors and their descendants.
