You see a man walk into a room and then sit directly opposite you in an office chair. A coastal landscape from the air is projected behind him in chroma key. While the man starts telling his story, you can hear the swelling sound of a large passenger airplane and you find yourself already floating above the sea only to come out again above land. His story is about a woman who wants to leave the country and does everything to get on the very first possible flight. But this official’s story, the woman herself and furthermore a helpful doctor lead you to understand that there will be no rapid departure. In changing perspective, you get to know the machinations which ensure that there will be no take-off for some while. Take-off seems so close, in particular since you can hear the roaring motors of a plane throughout the whole tape. The political circumstances in the country which the woman wants to flee prove to be responsible for the delay.
