Anyone expecting a production about tap dancing will be disappointed. The memories of the famous tap dancer from the twenties, Bill Bojangles, are fancifully portrayed in Wilson's perception. Using the Blue-Box and other advanced video techniques, he shows cowboys dancing on the edge of Bojangles hat. Og, the son of fire, plays an important role in the dancer's memories. In Bojangles subconscious, this mythical primaeval force taught him to dance on the rim of a volcano. But there is more: a dancer who creates a furor in the pre-television age of 'the golden days of radio', apes, politicians, baseball bats, crashing planes and whatever else. Wilson turns everything upside down in a compact and fantasy rich entity in which Gérard Chiron's music supplies a charming counter point.
