A city, seen from above by a guided missile. Although all we see of the supposed weapon is the visor, this hypothesis is justified by the sound track. News reports are heard without interruption from which details can be distilled now and then about the violence of a war and the number of victims. Slowly, very slowly, the projectile descends and approaches its goal. The plan, striking the city, was drawn up a long time before. There is no question of a tactile strike, as with the knights of days gone by, but much rather the realisation of ideas, already accomplished in the imagination, in which the supposed direct hit is incorporated as a matter of course. Within this framework, the communication of the results of such a direct hit is very significant. Through measured out information we learn what the direct hit has brought about. Not emphatic, but neutral: the location, the number of victims, etc. Strange how, under such circumstances direct hit and loudspeaker compliment each other so completely.
