An anarchistic student (Claude) and a hairdresser, passing by chance (Dodo), are killed by the same police bullet. Although Cupid in this case happens to be a trigger happy policeman, the projectile does not fail to have its effect: Claude and Dodo fall for each other in the hereafter. Inquiry at counter 7 will show that, under these circumstances, article 81 permits a conditional return to the land of the living. There, Claude has still got to try and tear himself away from the terror of his commune. Without doubt, this must be considered as a feature film: the credits alone last longer than the average video production. Furthermore, Samir lets the viewing pleasure of the cinema audience prevail in this modern version of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice (or, for a less well-read audience, this Swiss variation on 'Ghost'). Intense tension is created to the accompaniment of the Emmenthaler Electropop of The Young Gods. The feverish soundtrack and other carefully dosed effects even succeed in continuing to stimulate the fantasy whilst the world of human thought and the hereafter are soberingly and concretely visualised.
