Videotape, 4:00, colour & black-and-white, stereo
In this flashy tape, the makers show us elements of their previous artistic activities. In 1970 they were introduced to computer science but turned to photography and painting in 1974 and 1977 respectively. Their creative indecision came to a fortunate end in 1984 when they discovered the graphic possibilities of the computer. They set off from an average raster with a compelling rhythm. Suddenly mountains loom up in which a little boy walks around and over which we take a plane ride. We go on a quest - we admire exotic tribes, surprise water buffalo, apes, tiger, lions, zebras and even sea lions and a lost goat in the wild - until we are so full of impressions that people seem to get animal heads and the landscape changes in hypnotic colour wipes that fall apart in kaleidoscopic fragments. Finally we look at an extremely tired hooded eye, or was it just a roguish wink.
