Marie - André is an artist who prefers nuance to visual spectacle. The style in this video seems to be derived from current TV drama, including connecting shots. However, the loving approach, the dialogue and unexpected pointe make 'Premier amour' a personal, warm and sensitive portrait of a mother and her daughter, although the acting is here and there a little emphatic. For the daughter, everything revolves around her friend and the mother is told with very little tact, that she does not count at all. Very beautifully, almost poetically, Andre sketches the nightly meetings between the daughter and her lover. A poster of Depeche Mode on the wall, while it rains outside. But the mother still counts for something. She falls in love after a meeting in the park. Listen closely to the dialogue which seems to be taken from the standard texts of contact advertisements. Premier amour - Premier amour!
