Gruber's sliding universe, with rotating light sources and steadily progressing shadows, offers an entirely personal historical insight, whereby truly everything can be coaxed from Pandora's box - a covered kitchen table of considerable size. Evolution is given an entirely different twist by projecting a dog to the size of a wolf. Moses in a basket between the reeds of a busy Egyptian waterway, two spoons looking for each other as if to protect the survival of their species; a third theory gets mixed in with the historical battle between the Darwinists and those who see creation as the source of life. Where two dogs fight over a bone, Flicki walks away with it.
