Sample-kunstenaar Jeroen Hofs maakt een nieuw soort beeld- en geluidscomposities met behulp van video- en geluidsfragmenten, die hij al dan niet bewerkt met de computer. Zijn videosamples behandelt hij zoals een DJ zijn platen. Hij speelt ze extra snel of langzaam af en scratcht ze, waardoor zowel het beeld als het bijbehorende geluid vervormen. Samen met Maurice 'Mo'reez' van Brummelen mixt Hofs op drie grote schermen film-, video- en geluidssamples tot een compositie, waarvan de verhaallijn globaal vaststaat maar waarmee ter plekke geďmproviseerd wordt. Sample artist Jeroen Hofs makes a new kind of image and sound composition using video and sound fragments, sometimes computer-manipulated, sometimes not. He handles his video samples, in the way a DJ treats his recordings. He plays them at extra high or very low speeds or scratches them, distorting both the image and the accompanying sound. Together with Maurice "Mo'reez" van Brummelen, Hofs mixes film, video and sound samples on the three large screens to form a composition, whose main narrative line is broadly settled but subject to on-the-spot improvisation.
